The Performance Paddle System

What Makes This Camp Different

28 years of building a system that transforms how you play.

The Approach

Paddle Is a Game of Patterns, Positioning & Partnership.

Most instruction treats paddle like tennis — faster hands, harder shots, better strokes. But paddle is not tennis.

Platform tennis is a game of patterns, positioning, and partnership. Played in a screened court and always in doubles, it demands its own strategy, court awareness, and tactical discipline.

At Performance Paddle Camp, we don't just refine technique — we teach players how to think the game. Our system blends national competitive experience with strategic insight and on-court decision-making development.

Court Positioning & Movement

Efficient movement patterns that put you in the right place before every shot.

Tactical Shot Selection

Knowing when to drive, lob, or go to the screen — and why.

Screen Anticipation & Defense

Reading the screen, setting up opportunities, and transitioning under pressure.

Live Doubles Strategy

Real match scenarios that build decision-making and partnership instincts.

We don't teach paddle like tennis.
We teach paddle the way it's meant to be played.

What You'll Learn

The Five Pillars

Court Positioning & Movement Patterns

Where you stand determines whether you win or lose the point before you hit the ball. We teach the exact positions for every game situation — serving, returning, net play, baseline defense — and drill them until they're instinctive.

Screen Play & Strategy

Reading the screen, setting up screen shots, and using the wires to create offensive opportunities. This is what separates paddle players from tennis players on a paddle court.

Communication & Partnership

Calling shots, switching, covering gaps, and building trust with your partner under pressure. We teach specific language and signals that our campers take back to their teams.

Shot Selection & Patterns of Play

When to drive, when to lob, when to go to the screen, and how to construct points that put pressure on the other team. We teach you to think 2–3 shots ahead in every rally.

Coached Match Play

Every session includes live match play with national-level coaches on court, giving real-time feedback on your execution and decision-making. This is where the system comes together.

Camp Format

How Each Day Unfolds

Each session runs three days. Camp begins with a focus on skill work — isolated skills practiced with repetition until they become reliable. Afternoon sessions shift to pattern play and coached matches where you apply what you learned in game situations.

Each day builds on the previous one. The coach-to-player ratio is kept deliberately low so you receive individual attention and specific feedback — not just general tips shouted across three courts.

Every season, Mike and Ana design a fresh format with a unique theme. Returning campers get new material. First-time campers get the foundation.
